Gansogie is a charming self-catering house located in Calvinia. It is within walking distance of shops and various business establishments in the area and is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a comfortable stay with easy access to local conveniences.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, box freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The dining area has a lovely dining table with chairs where guests can enjoy their meals and further extends to the lounge furnished with comfortable couches.
This property features a lovely covered patio with seating and a built-in braai. This property is secured with burglar bars and an alarm system and guests are afforded parking on the premises.
The cost per evening is R800 for one or two people. After that, an additional R400 per person is charged. Contact the host for additional information.

OUR ROOMS
The house has a sleeping capacity of 7 adults and 1 child and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds and a baby cot. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and there is also a single bed for a child. They share the use of a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. There is also a separate toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

Akkerendam Nature Reserve
The Akkerendam Nature Reserve (AKNR) is 2 750 hectares in size and forms part of the water catchment area of Calvinia. It is located within the Fynbos Biome, whilst its upper steep slopes and lower slopes of the Hantam Mountain and flats to the north of Calvinia are considered Succulent Karoo biome vegetation.
Calvinia Museum
The Calvinia Museum is a historical and cultural attraction in the Northern Cape which has been providing visitors with a unique experience for over five decades. Built in 1920 as a synagogue and opened to the public in 1968, the museum showcases the rich history of the town of Calvinia.
Biggest Post Box in South Africa
Originally built as a water tower, the Flower Post Box stands 6,17 metres high and is taller than the average double-storey house. Also known as the ‘Flower Post Box’, for it’s fame during the flower season of August and September which sees people from all over SA making a special effort to post mail in the big post box.
